Sounds like Hector might wind up in the hospital with alcohol poisoning for the New Year!!! Remember, Hector, moderation, brutha.......

Everyone else, stay safe, have a Happy New Year and if you're drinking, PLEASE don't drive!!!!!
sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.

New Years Eve is my busiest day of the year, so I'm popping in a River Monsters DVD and maybe knocking back a couple micheladas with the intent on catching some Zs. Got to work early tomorrow, so I can't get too crazy. Just want to rest.

It is a mixed bag. Most of the New Years of my youth were spent working. Now with kids going to be early, and having to stay home, it is a time to watch TV and see the ball drop in Times Square. (By the way Chris, Settlers of Catan is a great game! A friend of mine has it and we play every once in a while).
            It's all good!

I accidentally got drunk last night and now I dont feel like doing it again.
Went for an amazing Thai dinner and now I'm too stuffed, might take a walk to city hall to watch fireworks just so my wife isn't mad at me.

We are both not into New Years, quiet evening with a good meal and a movie. It's been 10
years since I quit drinking, so that aspect is lost to me.

I figure everyone is due three truly unforgettable New years eves and I've already had mine. 1987, 1992, and 1994.

I wish you all a great one however you choose to celebrate.

I don't hate it as we have a small family tradition. I stay in with my folks and my Mom makes food throughout the day and then her pizza at night. Right before midnight we watch the ball drop. I actually treasure these more than I used to as my parents are getting older.

That sounds really nice actually. As it stands now though, my parents usually party with their friends and will probably stay up later than me tonight.

New years isn't the same as when i was younger. We stayed up and watched the ball.
Yesterday my wife actually cooked a huge holiday dinner just for the 2 of us. We spent the holidays visiting both sides of the family and she wanted to cook. We had a big ole turkey with all the extras. It was pretty sweet.

I was never in to the whole New Year's Eve going-out thing...NYE was even a crappy holiday as a kid, my parents never made it eventful.

Our usual tradition is the four of us ordering dinner out, having snacks, making ice cream sundaes, watching the Twilight Zone marathon and playing maybe playing something like Monopoly or the Wii. And then watching the ball drop. The kids are older now and are out of the hats and noise maker phase although I make 'em wear 'em anyway for a photo opp just to bust their chops...
