    Camcorder Question

    I have been searching every corner of the internet and have not found an answer so i decided to ask here...

    What cameras or what is it called or what software/cables, let me see a the exact same thing on my computer AND on the screen of the camera.

    It all depends on the camcorder. As an example, we have an older Sony Handy Cam. We can easily watch in on a computer via a USB port or on the TV with the basic yellow, white, red cables.

      thats what i have but i am looking for others in the ballpark, where i can use some sort of cable. What is that cable? Is it the camera or the cable ?

        That depends on the output ports of your camcorder. If you have a USB output port on the camera cable, then you can get a straight usb cable. I have RCA AV output jacks so I use a cable I got at Radio shack that converts standard AV to USB.

        Then there's S-video and so on...

            I could shorten the above to mean, it depends on your camcorder, but any camcorder can be connected to any computer depending on what cables you have, and what software you use to capture that video feed from the camcorder.
