Doritos Salsa Rio Limited Edition...

Anyone else find the Doritos 'Limited Edition' Salsa Rio? Found them the other day at the local Safeway...they are pretty good. Nice little kick with what seems like a hint of lime - better than the Verde or Spicy Nacho. The bag I have also advertises Sour Cream & Onion 'Limited Edition' on the back. Funny thing is, I never remember Salsa Rio flavor (nor SC&O) but it looks like they were available back in the day based off of this old Jay Leno ad (late 80s according to google research):

But my favorite Doritos are still the Taco flavored one...and I add Cholula hot sauce over them...yummy...

This one was OK, but I love Sour Cream and Onion and Taco flavor, and I haven't had them since I was a kid!

I remember them. It seems like they came out at the same time as Cool Ranch. I always liked them.

I've never had the pleasure of trying this flavor, but I now intend to track them down. I had a bag of the Taco flavored ones a couple of months back and had forgotten how good they are! Hector, your serving suggestion sounds deeelish! I also really like the Spicy Sweet Chili flavored Doritos, too. Good with chipotle sour cream!

For nachos...meaning...melted cheese and sliced jalapeños...that combo works best with plain tortilla chips...not flavored ones like Doritos...

We have Ghost Pepper (Bhut Jolokia) here too.

I like heat...but not that high...I like to enjoy my food...too much becomes a chore...not a pleasurable experience.

...and to answer your question...yes...I tried it...just a tad...you can keep the Ghost Pepper all to yourself...Habanero is more than hot enough for me...
