Okay so I was heading out to go back to work. I have been off six days for the Yule holiday (don't get jealous, it means I worked 8 days straight during Thanksgiving and 8 straight during New Years) and as soon as I hit the freeway, there was definitely something wrong with the car. A shilly and a clank...I go up to the next exit and drive the 3 miles to the garage. My regular mechanic is on vacation, but there is another guy there. I thought the rear strut was gone, but it turned out to be the rear bearing on the passenger side. 150 bucks. I get home after having had to call out with a sick Ford and I check the mailbox. The argument I have been having with the IRS over my 2008 return has finally entered a second phase and they gave me a partial refund of 174 dollars. By MY count they still owe me about a thousand dollars, but that will probably take another 6 months.
