It started off as a wonderful holiday month. 4 days before Xmas a good friend of mine's mother slipped into a coma due to brain hemorhaging. She was found by my friend and rushed ot the hospital only to then be airlifted to another hospital 2 hours away. Thi poor family and i stood in the room while she passed away. It has ripped the heart from my chest to see them in such pain. The funeral was yesterday. it took me 7 hours to dirve there and back because my own daughter had surgery and needless to say it has been a very trying holiday. Despite the fact that I feel so terribly sad for this family, I have to really say to everyone to please TRULY CHERISH every moment in your life and with everyone in your family and friends. Life is short. For some it is even shorter. Do good deeds, help those in need and be charitable when you can. Sometimes a simple smile to a stranger can make all of the difference in the world to someone. We do not know what the person next to us is going through. They could be in bad shape and we should truly help one another. I have realized this holiday season that I am very fortunate, even blessed to have met so many nice people on here, swapped stories, toys and even some laughs. I apologize if I sound over the top, but this has been the most difficult time of year for me this year. I am sure others have had worse, but please remember to really "love thy neighbor" whenevr you can.
best,
Lou
