I don't know if it's just here ( a rural area ) but both UPS and FedEx will deliver any package sent through them ( that has a PO Box for the address ) right to the local Post Office for them to do the final delivery. When I've ordered from Entertainment Earth it gets shipped FedEx but gets delivered to the Post Office for me to pick up. I think it has something to do with how the address is printed on the label - my EE orders have my street address first then the PO box under that and I was told once that they deliver to the address on the bottom, os if it's a PO box it get delivered to the local PO.

Just asked at the PO and for the last 5 years ( about ) FedEx and UPS have been dropping off packages at the PO for final delivery. It is the point of shipping the decides but if all you have down for an address is a PO box it should get dropped off at the PO for final delivery.

Yea, file a claim on it. It was totally NOT your fault that it wasnt recieved to you. Good luck on future packages...

Wow, sorry to hear it Sharry. File a claim on it ASAP and I'd report it to the local police as well. Could be there's others in your neighborhood with the same thing happening to them.
Hope you still have a Merry Christmas!

People steal everything here (flower pots, ornaments, even dogs in the yard), so no package would be safe here!
            That's weird

I always considered Belgium to be a high upper class country with low crime

And THIS is why you deserve a very, merry Christmas.

Stealing packages off doorsteps has become a bigger issue this year. At least it seems so. We've done at least 3 separate stories about a couple neighborhoods being hit (2 in Ct and in NJ). Its really sad to steal what are most likely Christmas gifts.

Sorry to hear this. They just had a report on the local radio news station last week about taking precautions against this sort of thing. There was a neighborhood in DC where folks had even seen cars trailing a UPS truck and stopping right after their delivery and then taking off again down the street.
                    It's all good!

It should be against the law for ANY company to leave packages at the door.

Punishment is they have to pay for them if they get stolen.

Why is this not the law already ?

The police can't do anything. Even when my house was robbed the cops couldn't help, and they even stopped the kids who broke in, but they didn't have any stuff on them so they had to let them go. I just hope the thief didn't dump my doll in a dumpster when they found out it wasn't electronics. If I can't have her, I want someone else who needs a toy this Christmas to have her.

Hey if it makes you feel any better, I was scammed on Craigslist a couple weeks ago. People will do anything for free money or free items and not give a &*$! about peoples feelings.

Bloody hell, Sharry...I'd be LIVID with ANGER...and ready to SHOOT something for that...

These criminals are scumbags...I have absolutely ZERO sympathy for them...I don't care if they don't have a job and are STARVING to death...that's not just a material loss...but an INVASION OF PRIVACY...bloody hell...I'm so ANGRY about this.

Sharry...next time...if there's ANY consolation...is to call UPS beforehand...and have them hold the package for you...especially if it's something of high value...I've done that in the past...and it's just an extra piece of mind.

My next door neighbor's house was burglarized just last week...someone managed to open a window...and stole his $500 audio mixer and his Xbox and games...he was soooooo pizzed.

This is just not Oakland...it's happening everywhere...people are more daring and desperate these days...but like I said...that's their problem...not mine.

I'm waiting though...I have my shotgun ready...I will not hesitate to SMOKE anybody who dares to invade my property...I mean business...

What a bummer.Very sorry to hear that. I'll bet one way or another it ends up being some kids doll.Even if the thief was hoping for something else and throws it away, someone else will find it and give it to someone.
