Worst Krofft show ever-- That was at the tail end of their run. Unwatchable even then, for that audience.

Yeah, I did..but it didn't have the same heart as the previous Sid and Marty Krofft shows. It's like they were trying to hard. I guess that same groovy 70s stuff wasn't gonna fly in the 80s. Poor 80s babies, you don't know what you missed.

Yea, i remember it. They tried to make their saturday mornings around Pryor for awhile there and it bombed miserably. Bad show and Pryor looked out of place on it. Of course, a much better show came on a few years later: Pee-Wee's play house.
I didnt know the Kroffts were involved in this. Was this their last work on saturday mornings?

80's Kids didn't miss anything. They had Pee Wee's Playhouse that show alone trumps anything Sid and Marty kroft ever did.....

That show had both Kids and adults watching in it's day.

They had an incredible cast Phil Hartman, John Paragon, Lynne Marie Stewart, Laurence Fishburne and S. Epatha Merkerson and Cyndi Lauper did the theme song......

I can't watch anything S&M put out except maybe Sigmund and the sea monsters without cringing....

            PeeWee still cracks me up......

I remember seeing the ads for this in comics at the time. I seem to recall some of the puppets from another show? I had seen some of his concerts on HBO and even then knew Pryor had no business being on a kids' show!

I remember it. But never liked it.
Speaking of Richard Pryor just the other day I was watching "THE TOY". I remember going to see that movie in the theater with my family and cousins on new years eve 1982-83. A great memory for me!

The Toy is one of my favorite movies from him.
