I remember watching it was a kid because Alice Cooper was in it. Even as a kid I was like, "What the hell did I just watch!?"

I like the Bee Gee remake/take on Sgt Peppers. Tho, I never could understand how the brothers G could whip Aerosmith in a fight.

I always felt that The Beatles sounded way too clean cut to pull off a filthy song like Come Together.
Aerosmith manned up and provided the only highlight to this guilty pleasure of a movie.

It's been a long time since I saw this. The film isn't without it's inspired covers. George Burns on Fixing A Hole is not bad. Areosmith on Come Together is really good. Steve Martin on Bang-Bang Maxwell, not so much even tho it's a really odd song to begin with. Didn't Earth, Wind and Fire cover Got To Get You Back Into My Life?

I stand in a burning spotlight of shame folks... When this film first became available on video back in the late 80's or early 90's (can't remember exactly), I went out and bought it. I wanted to see the classic 70's bands in their heyday... And I was mortified by how bad it was. But at the same time it was like a car accident. You just had to look. And occasionally I would put it in just to see it for that reason. It was nostalgia on crack, no less. And so I felt like a closet case fan that was almost too ashamed to play it in front of my dog. It's a terrible film. Make no mistake. Well years later I began dating a girl that would eventually become my wife. She told me this story about how her dad use to take her to the drive-in all the time. And there was this one special movie she liked the most... It was this film. You can only imagine the look on my face when I heard that. So I pulled out my VHS copy and she just freaked. And so began the journey of watching this movie...frequently. I still have nightmares from that marathon run. Later the kids fell in love with it even more and actually watched it until the film was WORN OUT!! Yes, people. They wore the damn thing out. Notice how I'm trying to separate myself from the pack? Well...it gets even better. When our youngest was about four she was CONVINCED that Barry Gibb was ME! I had a closely trimmed beard that I guess looked similar to his. And the association got made by others, which irritated the crap out of me. Anyway there is a scene where this girl climbs out of the crowd and kisses Barry Gibb. Courtney would get so mad at me, we had to EDIT the copy we had so she didn't see it anymore!!!! She took it THAT seriously. And yeah. She's kidded alot about it these days. So there you go. I doubt there is a human being on this planet that has more back story to such a horrid film than yours truly. But it happened. And now you all know. It's a shameful chapter in my life, but I have reached acceptance with it. Life can be freakin' weird can't it?!

I used to have the soundtrack and really liked it --- especially the Bee Gee's singing Beatles songs and Aerosmith doing Come Together.

Was never a fan of Alice Cooper's "Because"

Im a big Bee Gees Fan but have never seen this movie I know it was panned by the critics and audinces when it came out in 1978-79?

it is without a doubt one of the worst films ever made......yet it admittedly has a certain 70's cheesefest charm to it. i let my kids watch it on netflix or VH1 or something and only my youngest liked it...she was 5-6 at the time

I paid $5 to get the DVD just to see how bad it really was. It was bad with some interesting moments.

I watched it on VH1 a month ago, first time I saw it in over 25 years. Its one of those bad movies you can watch once in a while for the cheese factor.

I saw it in the theaters and that's it. I was 9 or 10 and liked the Bee Gees. I liked the movie a lot. I have never seen the movie since. Sounds like it is best to not watch again as an adult.

Horrible movie, but awesome soundtrack!
George Martin himself worked the music. I like what the Bee Gees did musically, and it's a shame they didn't get KISS to play the role of the bad guys as it was planned originally. KISS, specially Gene, being the Macca fan he is, would have done better than good doing "Come Together". And the extra verse that he would have added to the song would have been really something, lol.
