    storage war prank

The other night i was watching storage wars and a idea poped in my head
I'd love to rent out a storage unit pay just the bare mim load the unit with fancy empty boxes a thrift store repo lamps and vases fill the unit up so as to get there mouth to water and let them bid like crazy for a unit of nothing

Good idea. The only downside is that the storage company would probably slap a lawsuit on you and put a big negative on your credit score for not paying for storage fees.

Love the concept but it has one tragic flaw.

Having the victim find out they're all fakes and reproductions would probably make for even better television.

I can't wait for a Removeable Mask Robin to show up on Antiques Roadshow only to find out it's a repro.

none of you guys think the show is a set up like all the reality shows are?
a friend of mines boss does starage lockers and they always go through them without telling people before hand then hold auctions for them.

i think most of it is a set up or other people would be winning and bidding not just the "stars" of the show.

It is set up but not completely. Otherwise, how would the auctioneers from Storage Wars auctioned off $500,000 worth of gold found in a locker but no one from the show won it? Also, I presume there are plenty of other people who win lockers from them. They only show the ones that they do win. There are only 3 or 4 lockers aired per episode.
