    Storage Wars: Texas

Anybody else catch this incredible gem last night?

They've tried to recapture the same magic with a new crew of stereotypes, it's nowhere near as endearing and the phoney drama is poured on like BBQ sauce.

Last night, Billy Bob and Bubba found $7,000 worth of Boba Fett figures and i'm wondering if the folks at Rebel Scum haven't figured out whose they were already.

A saw the episode in my guide but avoided watching it. Although the original version pulls me in every once in a while for a few moments, the fake drama and bad acting is more than I can bare.

I think the thing that struck me as odd was when Bubbajobillybob said "I need to find me some nerds", which is what Jarrod said in the Mego episode of SW.

Also, I resent being called a nerd by the most unathletic human being I've ever seen in my life.

I can't help but think all these shows are staged! why would anyone leave that much valuable stuff behind. Pay the monthly fees, get your stuff, and sell it for profit if you are hurting for cash!

Us so called 'Nerds' are the ones that make the money and have a great collection

I did not see it. I probably would have, had I known. I tell ya, even though it is all staged, I still enjoy the regular show.

In this politically correct world we live in, I am sure soon there will be some kind of "Nerd Coalition" to stop the slander and segregation of Nerds. We should all write a letter to the producers demanding an apology!!

I saw it and even though there have been accusations of it being "staged"; I still enjoy watching it if for anything just to learn in the happenstance that I might run into something similar in the future.

One thing I find interesting about Storage Wars is that many of them (such as Jarrod) could care less about learning about an item when they take it to them; they only care about its value. I do understand that they simply want to flip and make some bucks but I would think you would want to learn as you go along so you can estimate value.

I also wonder if some of the prices thrown around are realistic. Dave Hester found some crappy refrigerator in a storage locker and valued it at $200. It looked like a generic, no name refrigerator. You can buy a generic no name refrigerator brand new for $200 so who would pay $200 for something like that? I also like the way there is always the buried treasure in a jewelry box stashed in a cheap Goodwill looking dresser drawer.

That's why I've said I like Auction Hunters better. Ton seems like someone that would hang out here.

I hate all these shows. Although, I continue to watch them anyway.

Storage Hunters is by far the worst.

I don't know why, but I hate these two people more than anyone from any of these shows:

Anyway, so the store they took them to was Dallas Vintage Toys, right?

The same Dallas Vintage Toys selling them:

I never watch any of those shows since they are rumored to be staged. It is a compete waste of my time and an insult to my intelligence.

I keep watching even though I think it's fake. When they pulled out the Star Wars figures it seemed very fake. The guy at the shop just happen to know all these rare variations? It's a shame cuz I think they have a good concept.
