Easier for them to get injured in baseball. I'm sure they don't want to get taken out by a line drive or a foul ball.

I love cheerleaders, everyone knows the best are the Cowboys and Phins hands down

Cheerleaders have pretty much always been more or less background shots in American television. You see them along with crowds shots as games are going to or coming back from commercials. There has never been a time when you saw more cheerleaders than the game itself. That's pretty bizarre. They do have cheer leading competitions and a reality show for the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders if that is your gig.

down here the Phins cheerleaders and Heat dancers are huge , they do photo and autograph signings all the time for kids and stuff like that

that's probably cause it's too cold in those states, and it's not worth looking at cheerleaders if they're dressed in jackets and winter crap
