Anyone catch Real Deal last night on History Channel?

New show where a professional will negotiate for your item. If you don't take their offer; it goes to auction.

Someone had a nice assortment of comic books (I can't remember all of them but X-Men #1, Iron Man #1, Captain American #100, Amazing Spiderman #129 with Punisher, Incredible Hulk #181 with Wolverine...I think there were 9 comics in total and although I really couldn't tell the condition I know one of them was CGC graded and the others looked they were in really good shape. The high offer was $1,800 for all 9 comics plus tickets to Comic-Con.

The seller wasn't a dummy..he even said X-men #1 was worth over $2,000 by itself but then said it was the Comic-Con tickets that made him take the deal. Are Comic-con tickets really that difficult to obtain? I don't know the value of those 9 comics but I was thinking he probably would have done much better on Ebay. I know for sure that Spider-man Punisher comic was worth a few hundred bucks by itself and it appeared to be a nice example of it so maybe even more.

First time I've seen the show was a few days ago.. noticed that the guy selling the sextant (and lying about its origins) was the same big dope who was on Pawn Stars a couple times in the first season.

I remember him now. Didn't he show up a few times and never make any deals with them (I do think he sold them one of those dynamite ignitors). I read somewherr (might have even been on this board) that he is a wannabe actor and showing up on shows like this to get on tv.
