I am a big M.A.S.H. fan. However, I did not know he was still with us. Sad to see that it is now the case.

I loved him in "Support Your Local Sheriff".

Too bad, I seriously thought he might live forever --- at least longer than me

So many memorable roles. He was pretty much on everything TV had for so long. RIP

Mr. Morgan's passing is a true loss to the entertainment world. Peace, condolences and blessings to him and his family!
sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.

Of course I liked him in MASH, Dragnet, Support Your Local Sheriff, etc. But one role that gets overlooked was as the sheriff in "The Shootist". He really gives John Wayne a hard time, all the time reigning it in enough to not get shot. Great movie too.

I read he did a cameo in Ghostbusters but I can't picture him in it

                    Bummer...

I just never could get into the Harry Morgan/David Ogden Steirs/Mike Farrell M*A*S*H replacement cast...maybe it was the writing but none of them had the comedic timing of McLean/Larry Linville/Wayne Rogers...

I've been taping/watching 'Dragnet 1968' daily for the last few weeks. LOVED his comic banter with Jack Webb, totally, totally priceless. He really complimented Webb's stiff style.

"Ah, rest well, Mr. Morgan and thank you.."
                      Peace.. Through Superior Firepower.

He was in quite a bit of those old John Wayne and Jimmy Stewart Westerns. He was a true character icon. I love seeing him pop up in those old westerns. RIP

he had a good long life but his passing makes me feel so sad. Col. Potter was an iconic character I grew up with and still love to this day. RIP

I loved MASH and preferred the later years with Col Potter (Drama with Comedy) better than Col Blake's years (comedy with some drama)

                              I didn't watch much Dragnet
