GNR should definitely be in. They just frigin shredded. A lot of others people mentioned too. The RRHOF is a joke now, they just rename it the music hall of fame.

The day everyone realizes that the nominee list is a work is the last day anyone talks about the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

There's only one reason I know the name Susan Lucci, and that's because it was the media made such a big deal about how many times she had been passed over for the Daytime Emmy (or whatever stupid award it was). It went on for a few years. Then she finally won. Story over. Haven't heard of her since.

RNRHOF knows this. If they put in all the obvious ones right away, they have nothing to put in later. So they nominate band like KISS and Rush and whoever, but put in Madonna.. Why? Because it gets the rubes all upset and they talk about it. And they write letters and make petitions and whatever other free press things people do and Eddie Trunk goes on TV with his beanie hat and cotton candy that he got from the midway and complains. It's all manufactured outrage. I'll bet 95% of these fans will never go to the hall of fame anyway.

All I know is: My life stays the same no matter who is in there.
Expectation is the death of discovery.

Is Clapton in as a solo artist?? I know he's in as a member of Cream, and I think he's in as a member of The Yardbirds.

Yes, Clapton is in for the YardTurds. He played in the band for barely six months, did not sing any songs, did not write any songs, did not play on any of their studio albums. The only album he did play on was that Live album that the critics claim is so great, although I've never met anyone who actually owns it. The only hit they had when he was in the band was "For Your Love" which was mostly played by studio musicians. I guess this is another reason why the HOF is a joke!

One good thing about the Small Faces getting is, is that it puts Kenney Jones in the HOF. I know he was not the right choice to replace Keith Moon in the Who, but he never deserved all the criticism he got for his time in the Who.

The Bee Gees are in it? Simon & Garfunkel are in it? Madonna? BILLY JOEL AND BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN!?!?

I HATE BILLY JOEL AND BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN!

My idea of Rock N' Roll:

The Runaways, New York Dolls, Ramones, Johnny Thunders and the Heartbreakers and yeah, AC/DC and Rose Tattoo.

First Guns N' Roses in great.
