Faster - 2011 Dwayne Johnson

I saw this for the second time on Saturday and realized how cool this film is. It's a minimalistic revenge shooter, but it works. It's bizzarly uneven with the hitman thrown in and Billy Bob's family, but it all comes full circle and is wrapped up nicely, though there aren't any happy endings. His character hits the ground running, literally, and doesn't let up.

As much crap as he's given, Johnson has come a long, long way since Scorpion King. He hasn't made the best choices script-wise in choosing his roles, but the last few he's been in including Fast Five are just perfect for his particular acting skillset. I am completely on board with his movies as long as he doesn't make a Tooth Farie sequel.

I heard he's making a Charley Pride biography story starring himself as Charley.

I'm kind of looking up to seeing it.

This is a very good/cool flick...kinda of a throw back to the action car flicks of the 60s...it has that almost Steve McQueen Bullitt feel to it...I really enjoyed it...too bad it went under the radar...but this is one of Rock's best movies...plus the co-star...the guy who plays the high-maintenance hitman...he was surprisingly good too...I think he could star in a movie himself...thumbs up for me.

I saw Faster at the threatre with my Dad. We both liked it. Good action flick.
