My mom threw out all my old sticks. Luckily I got a repro one last year.
I almost had a psychic girlfriend but she dumped me before we met.

If anyone here believes in psychokinesis, please raise my hand.

Yeah but it will never have the resale value and has actually hurt the collectors market for the originals.

        For shame.

The same hold true for cats. It is funny as people go out of their way to often buy expensive toys when the most basic generic thing will usually suffice.

Too much space. Need more toys!

            Haw!

Cardboard tube should have been #1.

In Mexico...amongst the kids...trompo (whipping top) and canicas (marbles) dominate the scene...just about any kid can afford them...and they will play all day with them...

The first video is a demonstration of how to wind up the trompo...

Yep...I did the very same there from ages 7-14...lol.

Some slightly older and more experienced kids...would tamper with the trompo spikes...and sharpened them...they could easily crack and split your own trompo in half...these were "duel-type" trompo matches...they would launch their trompo at yours already spinning on the ground (you take turns on who launches first)...same would apply with canicas...it could get very competitive...I lost many trompos and canicas participating in these "duels"...some of those kids were vicious...lol. This video shows a little bit of this...but no cracked or split trompos...

How about a soccer ball? There is a reason why this is the world's most popular sport. You only need a ball, some players, and playing space.

If I only had sticks and dirt to play with I would have been a very unhappy child.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

Yeah...I left that one out on Mexican kids out because it was too obvious, lol.

I had every one of those when I was a kid. Loved them all. I used to get alot of cardboard tubes for Christmas.

Rocks were recalled back in the 70's before the pebble firing Bobba Fett was released.
