It was pre 1975 because I watched it with my Uncle Johny and he passed away that summer.
I thought it was a Jim Henson tv special, I think Kermit's nephew was in it but it was made before the muppet show aired, I've googled henson's movies but didn't find it.
What I do remember: a group of animals traveling. There was a dog who said " I'm old,...tired,...warn out"
At one point they go up to a house where they look in the window to see what they think is a happy family having a big (Christmas?) dinner, but it was really robbers splitting up loot.
I have quoted that poor dog for sooo long and I think about that show every year and would love to see it again.
