    Kennedy Center Honors

I grew up listening to Steve Martin's comedy albums, and just finished his new book about his early life and stand-up career. He was honored last nite by the Kennedy Center, along with Martin Scorsese, Brian Wilson, and a couple others I forget cuz I kept nodding off.

Anyway, after the Scorsese tribute finished, Steve Carrell came out to begin Steve's tribute......

    Funny stuff.

I also enjoyed Brian Wilson's tribute, altho wouldn't it be nice to see a Beach Boy or two in attendance, or part of the tribute. They weren't, as far as I could tell. But I really enjoyed the choir rendition of "Love and Mercy", which is one of my fave Wilson songs.

Steve Martin was an icon of my childhood/teenage years. Gotta love King Tut!

I didn't see the link to the 2nd half of that youtube post. Do you have it or know it?

One of my favorite movies by him is one of his least successful movies; it was "The Lonely Guy." This was the life story of a good friend of mine, and we use to joke with him about it.

I didn't realize he starred in 35 movies.

I wonder if Brian Wilson is still sitting up in the balcony.
