    Off to a toy show

    Hi guys,

I'm going to the big holiday San Jose Super Toy Show today. I'll let you know how I make out. Are any of you Bay Area peeps going?

      Thanks for asking. I got:

2 American Girl dolls, one standard size and one mini, and a mini book
a TON of David Cassidy and Partridge Family fun books, including paper dolls
a Brady Bunch Dynamite mag and BB paper dolls
a cool custom made Leonard Nimoy as Spock throw pillow
Superman bedsheet set (sans the pillowcase)
A Lost In Space mint board game
      Batman Colorforms (not vintage)
sealed View-Master Reels (Happy Days, Daniel Boone, Pete's Dragon, The Cat From Outer Space, Superman, The Great Muppet Caper, Man In Space)

*edit to add a Toot-A-Loop radio*

          Congratulations!

We get so few toy shows in South Florida and when they do arrive, it seems like there is always a conflict and I miss them.

Wasn't Dynamite a great magazine? I remember one that had Fantastic Four number 6 in it with the Sub Mariner as a derelict and the torch giving him a shave. Too cool!

I'm thrilled for you for those sealed view master reels. Make me want to start searching ebay.
            It's all good!

They're not gonna be sealed long. I'm gonna open 'em up and play w/ them.

^^Oh, I expected that. I just still remember the smell of a brand new set of reels vividly, looking through the guide book. If you were lucky you also got a preview disk, too. So cool.

                  Coolness! Sweet haul, HardyGirl.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

I love toy shows. Even if you don't buy anything, they're a blast just to walk around.
