Sorry to hear this . . . Especially for your boy. You know, if you have funds, I'd go out and get another one. Set it up and show the little f's that took it that thy don't control your happiness. I have a couple items like this and I put them in places that I can secure them with bailing wire. They might be able to grab it but it's gonna fight back pretty hard, which is usually enough to deter kids. Anyway, again sorry to hear.My Custom Figures

Stealing food or needed clothes I can forgive under the right circumstances.
No way can I forgive stealing Christmas decorations
These people (probably kids) are just trash
You can take comfort in the fact someday in the future when they mature they will remember what they did and will most likely feel really guilty.
I've done far less bad things in my youth and still feel guilty for doing them today.Comment

If that scenario were to be the case...that dude would still deserve a beatdown...he has absolutely no right whatsoever to do that to another family...sorry...that's no excuse for him to rob someone else...besides...he can look into much more effective alternatives...like loving his own family a little extra without the need for artificial things...but thieving, no matter what the reason...exposes him to being caught (jail), or worse...badly hurt...and then how his own family would feel about that...the dad would be risking all for a couple of blow up figures...bad imprint to leave on his family...and consequently...his children would suffer the most at the end...not worth it...bad scenario all the way around.
The better thing for that "scenario" father would've been to knock on Damien's door with his entire family...and explain his dire situation...perhaps Damien would've donated something...it sure beats him stealing his stuff.
I'm saying that because that kinda happened to me...not at my door...but in the streets...and entire family with kids begging for money...that really saddened me...so I handed them a $20 bill...perhaps that was not a lot...but you should've seen how their eyes lit up...they were really appreciative...and I'm sure lots of other people handed them either money, toys, or even food.
Just don't steal from other people...that's one of the lowest of the low...no matter what the reasons."Time to nut up or shut up"-Tallahassee

When I was little, my dad always went out of his way to decorate for Halloween.
He worked two jobs, and when he'd get home at 11PM he'd go down to his workshop and start working on making the decorations (usually lifesized monsters to put in our garden in front of the house... made of wood, old clothes and halloween masks.)
One year a dirtbag stole the witch my dad made. Man, was my dad upset.
He built another one the following weekend and wired it to emit a jolt of electricity, and framed the thing in outgoing nails. The night after he put it up we heard noise outside, and my dad went out to check it out. Dumbass teenage dirtbag from across the street Larry, was laying on the ground in our garden in pain.
So my dad, being my dad opens the front door and looks at Larry and says "Need help stealing my s--t? Cause I can call your dad over to help you."
Things didn't end well for Larry.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

My wife bought those solar panel lights to decorate the edging of a sidewalk and the same thing happened. Gone the next day. They also go through the garbage at night if it looks like any thing is interesting.
Last year, a guy knocks on the door trying to sell something a few days after Christmas. I was in the other room and was a few steps behind but I know he got a great look inside my house. I got him outside and started asking him all about his "product" which he didn't have nor any flier with a name or phone number. His friends picked him up in a van a little while later.
Next day, I had an alarm system installed and I use it religiously.
I hate people who are too lazy and take from hard working, honest folk!Comment

I don't understand how people can feel good about themselves during the Holidays when they steal people's stuff. Jerks.

Sounds like theft for profit. Your display stuff will probably show up at a flea market. Those things are hot items. Too bad in our area the freaks are worse. My brother had one of those inflatable Christmas display things. The local kids slashed it.Comment

Sorry to hear that and agree probably teenager or young adults. We had a string of robberies going around recently where the intruder would enter an unlocked door in the middle of the night, steal anything within a few feet of the door and leave. You have to have some major guts to walk in and steal while people are sleeping...they did catch the person who was an 18 year old punk. Even more gut wrenching...my sister had a premature baby a few years ago who died a few weeks after being born (never came out of the hospital). They buried him in an infant cemetary and some scum bag went around stealing flowers placed on the gravesites in there including my nephew's. My sister was beside herself when that happened."The farther we go, the more the ultimate explanation recedes from us, and all we have left is faith."
