I would hate to got back to network TV. All the stuff I watch are on cable channels.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

Me too. I have a large range of tastes so always seem to find something of interest. Just watched "Vietnam in HD" on the History channel and thoroughly enjoyed it.

I generally don't watch movies on cable since I have either seen them many times or already have it on dvd.

Just last night I watched "Survivor" followed by "Full Throttle Saloon" and then "Decoded". Three completely different genres and I'm sure many here hate some or even all three of the shows I watched but I enjoyed them all.

I like the HBO and Showtime stuff. I also like that I can watch it anytime I want with my On Demand service. I'd never go back.

You need cable nowadays if you like college football. NFL, Mythbusters, Paranormal/UFO shows and some of the stuff on cartoon network Adult Swim. Alot of the History Channel and H2 seem to be the only stuff that gets my attention. Oh and Batman and Classic Trek on Me tv. As for the rest. I could live without it.

i remote between channels so much these days im about ready to make a decision on keeping it, adding yet more channels, or getting rid of it altogether. buying dvd series sets would interest me. i just dont feel i get enough enjoyment out of what i have to keep spending the money every month.
if they would just take some time to actually make network television worth watching they would probably bring alot people back to it.

I think with the modern state of television programming we are loosing that special pop culture commonality that we all shared back then. For instance with the Rankin Bass Christmas stuff we all knew who Fred Astaire was even if we never saw one of his films or dance numbers... we all knew Cecil B. Demille because Bugs Bunny was always ready for his close up etc... I guess what I;m saying is that the special timelessness of television is gone and never to be recreated.
