youtube is better than tv most of the time to me. like many of them old commercials. from the seventies and eighties. my favorites are stop motion commercials. i really like coke, pepsi, cerial, showbiz pizza, levies, and holiday commercials.
I just watched a MEGO WGSH one where they say that the Human Torch is faster than light. Mr. Fantastic's power is invisibility and Conan's sword is a "mighty sword for justice". LOL. Did they even read the comics??
These old toy commercials are always so much fun. Anyone else remember Children's Palace? I recognize so many toys at the end of this one. Inhumanoids! Good stuff.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...
I posted this last year around this time. Does bring back good memories of christmas as a kid. I miss those days.
I was in toys r us last week looking for a present for my niece. The selection wasn't nearly as big as it was when I was a kid. It was kinda depressing actually.

I was just commenting on that today. When I went to my first Toys R Us it was 3 hours away from my house (I lived in Iowa, everything is 3 hours away.) I remember walking in and just staring in awe. The shelves all seemed 20 feet tall and a mile long! What a feeling it was. I bought some Clash Of The Titans figures on clearance, a Rocky and Apollo from Rocky 3. It was an amazing ride home!!

Yea around the time this commercial first aired we had a store called TOY TOWN in maryland which was like paradise for a kid in the 70's and early 80's..it was about the size of a supermarket. The toys r us was about about 2 miles from it. They closed that TOY TOWN in the early 80's and then it was Toys r us from then on.
That same Toys R Us is still there to this day however its all redesigned and doesn't have the classic look and the store looks "modern".
I still have many toys I got for christmas as a kid from that store.
