Best Bootleg Figures I ever saw: Max Steel

I found these little guys in Jakarta Indonesia. Theyre tiny copies of the 12" American Max Steel. They even had tiny cloth clothing. The odd thing was the poses the figures limbs were in , untill I checked out the package artwork. They sculpted the copies from these pics, without articulating them. Great artists!

I put a sharpie marker and lip balm next to them for scale.

Good find! Those are great! The Maxx Steele line has really started growing on me since Mexico started making some pretty cool originals figure designs. Now this? I'm trying to resist.

Those are really neat. Do they have any articulation at all?
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

The legs are articulated like the 12" but the arms etc are only moveable at the shoulders. The arms are "posed" like the pics on the package.
When I get to travel I'm a regular Bootleg Detective!

If I had known I would one day be here on teh Mego Museum and with abunch of other collectors who are rabid for quirky knock offs I would have bought and shipped home much more.

I was contemplating hitting Mexico and seeing how they do with antique stores and rummage sales. I have never been there, but I assume it's a lot like how we do things in the states. I bet some great treasures can be found.
