As a music oriented kid, I was drawn into the harper series and then latched on to the dragon items as I got a bit older. The mixture of 'what if' science and fiction in her writing was more than enough to keep my attention even through the mushy soap opera bits. Her first books, dragon and otherwise, are on my shelves now and are waiting to be passed on to my kids so that the next generation in my family can gain inspiration from her writings.

RIP Anne. I hope that whatever comes next for you surpasses your imagination.
