Tomboy is good too. And I admit I have both that and Private School on DVD.
It was apparently her first con, and it was the lion's gate publicity department that brought her in because they were shooting saw 3-d down the street at the time. So she was signing at the Lion's Gate booth and at the Saw panel, but not shilling like all the other B-level celebrities who were charging for autographs and photo ops.

She left the movie business to raise her kids and when her son went off to college, her husband was a producer on the Saw films offered her the initially small role of Jigsaw's ex wife... And it grew from there.

The Perils of Gwendoline in the Land of the Yik Yak... is a unique film!

Although it's from 1991 and so on the periphery of your search, you may consider Career Opportunities, mainly 'cos it stars Jennifer Connelly.

Wow - That movie is so much better when you just watch the Connelly scenes. It might be a little too PG for this list though.

Hmm - I don't know if it should count either - but it RULES, so let's add it.

I added a few from this DVD collection: Amazon.com: Too Cool For School Collection: Crispin Glover, Patrick Houser, Chip McAllister, Phil Hartman, Betsy Russell, Scott Strader, Mariska Hargitay, Richard Roundtree, Christopher Lee, Danny DeVito, Kristi Somers: Movies TV

And added "Hard Ticket To Hawaii", which is more in the sexy/action/comedy genre, like "The Perils of Gwendoline in the Land of the Yik Yak"

Not sure if this film really fits as well as some of the others in this thread, but this is the film that started my crush on Jennifer Connelly. Personally I think she looks her best in this film, just gorgeous!

Thanks for the pic and the info, Ed. Nice to see that she still looks good. Looks like you really lucked out getting a chance to meet her.

Hmm - I checked out that Fairchild lead, I see lots of TV comedy work, but most of her 80s movies seem to be thrillers or weird dramas.

"Heavy Metal" is part of the era of 80s sex movies - but it's a little too ambitious compared to these other movies.

                            Weird Science?

I saw Zapped at the movies when I was a teenager. The cinema that I watched it at, near my parents house, was torn down soon afterwards

Just kidding! The cinema did get torn down, though, during the home video boom. Actually a real shame.

"Weird Science" kinda should be on this list - but there's no nudity.

She had sort of a nude scene with Matthew Modine on the beach (including the part where she gets all wet in her nightee wearing nothing underneith) but yes, it was nothing compared to how much she showed in the Blue Lagoon rip off "Paradise"
