RIP my sister.
Seems like I get one of these a year lately right around the holidays. 42 years old, organ failure due to excessive drinking and presumably drugs. She's been in the hospital for around a month, then Hospice since Wednesday last. I hope she is at peace now with whatever it was that consumed her. I have been mad at her in the past for not wanting to talk about it or get help, and for being outright rotten towards my parents. Oh, well.

I have a large family and I realized only a few years ago that a big part of the anger that I felt towards them was actually at me for not being able to fix them against their will. When I realized that, I was able to let go of the anger that I had and just let them go screw up their lives in the manner they wished. Sorry to hear about your loss though.sigpicComment
