Possibly the best Star Wars book ever?

One of my Christmas presents this year was `The Star Wars Vault`

Amazon.com: The Star Wars Vault: Thirty Years of Treasures from the Lucasfilm Archives, With Removable Memorabilia and Two Audio CDs: Books: Stephen J. Sansweet,Peter Vilmur

If you only own one Star Wars reference book then make sure it is this one. It is stunning. Inside are not only pictures of the highest quality but actual reproductions of all manner of Star Wars memorabilia that are removable. Letter headings, menus, letraset, iron on transfers.....the list goes on and on. it's like an adult version of a childs pop up book with something to open on nearly every page.

Buy one today - you will not be dissapointed.

Wow!! That looks fantastic!! I wasn't even aware such a creature existed... thanks for the heads up... gonna be getting one of those for sure! I've enjoyed every SW project that Sansweet has ever been involved with, but it looks like he's topped them all with this offering!

As much as I am a fan of the original trilogy, I've never read a Star Wars book.

Paul, yours sounds like a killer edition though.

Pretty cool! The book I had my eye on was the The Making of Star Wars: The Definitive Story Behind the Original Film that came out this year.

I just got the Star Wars Vault book for Xmas myself It's pretty awesome, something I know I'll read far more than once.

I believe this book also just got marked down like 50% at Waldenbooks/Borders from what I was told, in case anyone is interested in checking it out.

Yeah - I got that one too. Some great on set photos in it, loads of which I have never seen before.

that vault is just the basic re-release of sansweets earlier book. Those vaults are cool , but seem more suited for all the sports ones. Of course the MARVEL one is cool . I have to agree with scott on that book. it's incredible.

I have a couple of other Sansweets' books and they just don't compare to the `vault`. I think as much as anything, it's the sheer value for money of it. I also have `The Star Wars Chronicles` which cost £100 ($200) and pound for pound they just don't compare - The Vault wins through and through.

I am a little dissapointed with the Marvel Vault and the ring binder is just a pain in the ar**. It makes is too awkward to flick through.

A great book and a bigger version of his first collectable book of that type called The Star Wars Scrapbook which also had pull outs and reprinted collectables in it.
The Marvel Vault had some nice bits in it but that ring binder is a pain like you say Paul.
Virgin (or whatever they call themselves nowadays) had the Star Wars Vault for £20...well worth the money , but i'd only found that out after I bought it full price

I agree Paul this is a great book,i felt that way too, every turn of the page brought something new,i did like the Disney Startours Space sickness bag and the Droids animation cel thing but there is loads in this book to keep you looking at it pulling bits out.
