Can things get any worst?

Hey Gang,
I know I havent been very active of late (just so much going on) but I got a call today to tell me that one of my best friends died in a house fire last night and here I was thinking can anything else go wrong cause last week the engine blew in my blazer so I have been trying to get a car for my wife and also been trying to get money together to get my kids Christmas gifts. You know what I give up. Everything is S##t this year and there is no hope. I try to be the optimist but I just cant anymore things are just bad all over. Sorry to vent but its just the way things are.

I can relate. This year has been pretty pathetic for me as well. I often feel like a wad of chewing gum on the bottom of the world's shoe. I don't mean to make light of it, I just have to laugh because if I don't I'll just feel worse. Hang in there. It can get worse, but it can get better too, even if it doesn't seem like it.

Sorry about the way life is shaping up these days. My only words of thought would be that life is full of adversity & it's how you deal with that adversity that will define you. Keep being that optimist. Yes, it can be hard. Just be strong enough to believe in yourself and smart enough to realize you have friends to help you.
