My wife loved the books, and hated the movies. So I'm not alone in my house. I took my wife to see Titanic and enjoyed it. I'm kind of obsessed with the disaster. Cried too. Not because of the plot itself, but because it was the first time I had seen the ship on the big screen and in color, which made the disaster truly real to me for the first time. Yeah. I cried. But I cried after Twilight too. But that was from the pain that is Twilight. Zing!

There is only one true werewolf and that is Lon Chaney Jr. Nothing comes close to the 1941 classic 'Wolf Man' and Abbott and Costello meet Frankenstein where Lon Chaney Jr. appeared as the Wolf Man

That thing still kills me. Amazing that someone is so uneducated in pop culture to think that way about Twilight like its the original werewolf movie.

Why's he in high school, anyway? And more importantly, what's his long-term goals? Vampire dental school? Bella strikes me as having the same delusion as Timothy Treadwell--yeah, they're all cuddly until you're suddenly on the menu.

I have to admit- I'm kind of a Twilight hater- I know, it's ignorant (my hating)- my wife and mom both think the books and movies are great- and, let's face it, these movies are about romance the whole monster thing is just part of that- as opposed to actual monster \ horror movies that are all about the moster with a little romance from time to time.

This is the best twilight video (my wife says pretty accurate too!):

Went to see it with the Wife last night. Was trying to be a good sport for her. Really not appropriate for any young teenagers in my opinion. Yet there were 11-15 year olds in the movie theater.

there is no doubt it will make money, but it is because of all the girls in love with the two main stars and the attempt at a romantic story

AS far as the movies themselves the first and second ones bored me a bit but the third one (Eclipse) was actually pretty good. The only down side is that you really must watch the first two for it to really work. I think Breaking Dawn will be the same way but I don't think that'll be a problem.

I also thought the whole twinkling in the sun was pretty clever considering the Anne Rice generation/

I always thought Titanic was a great flick.

now these twilight movies I can take or leave. I have watched the first 3....my kids watch them endlessly when they come out on disc....but I find them rather dull. Kristen Stewart is nice to look at, but has absolutely no range of emotion. she never changes expression. the werewolf effects are subpar at best.

I don't hate the movies, just not my cup of tea

naw in all seriousness, it is what it is...if you go in expecting a horror flick,or blood baths with this series then of course this is not for you..it's a teen love story or wolves and vampires(come on that's pretty cool)

I just think it's funny how most guys feel the need to always hate on things chicks are obsessed about and try and act all macho about it, same thing happened with titanic a few years back...now guys don't mind it as much

all i say is it give it a chance, it might surprise you..part one was the only one in High school....so the teen vibe kind of goes away after that

I remember my friend told me theres a new vampire horror film in the cinemas, so we went along. I cant believe I sat through that, waiting for something to happen and nothing did. I just remember walking out the cinema thinking what a load of crap. I watched the next one on tv just interested if something will happen and still nothing, theres simply no action or real pace, it was just Bella moping around for the whole film. This newest one got a review as the first "zen" film (being sarcastic) as simply nothing happens, there is no story, its a complete snooze fest.
