    POTA cartoon art (big scroll down pics)

    I've had these laying around on my hard drive for a while. They came off one of the Ape forums and I can't remember who actually has this stuff but it is neat.

    Even though the animation was sometimes almost non-existent, I always like the art on the Ape toons. Here is a lot of the art and the call sheet (I think that is what you call it) that went into the opening:



    and here is other stuff, including model sheets of some of the characters:



    and finally, whenever I see this scene in the Apes cartoon (I think this is from "Escape From Ape City") this is what I hear in my mind:

      I think it's totally awesome! I'd love to see some Mego figures made from the character design sheets.

                        I like the look of all of it. That was Filmation? That's before their animation became too stiff. There was some real identity in the art. Not like their later work.

                          Not Filmation. It was Depatie-Freeling, who made The Pink Panther cartoons.
