Nah. Not in two years. There's still people out there that market CDs.
I don't see myself hanging out IPODS when our band puts out new music.
...and for some odd craze reason vinyl has become popular again. I brought up my vinyl collection and have jumped back into the collecting/trading fun again with it. To me, it feels authentic but that's just me talking for my generation.
I'm sure the younger computer aged generation that downloads music thinks I'm a ****ing idiot for having a vinyl collection. I do it for fun, such as the Mego thing.Last edited by Cosmicman; Nov 18, '11, 1:11 PM.More custom Mego madness on Facebook right here...

I have a few younger friends in their early 20s - they love vinyl and don't really buy CDs the way I use to at their age. They either purchase the download, download illegally or buy vinyl. BUT they regularly go to shows, buy T-shirts and merch from bands.
Most newer indie and smaller label bands that I've seen lately sell vinyl at their shows along with CDs - and they usually come with a login key to download a digital version as well. Best of both worlds in my opinion!
A lot of smaller bands (bands that tour, but don't have the cash or popularity for an LP yet) do 7 inch vinyl before they bother with CD. Often they'll upload the tracks for free on MySpace (or something similar) as well.Last edited by Brazoo; Nov 18, '11, 5:34 PM.Comment
