For those that don't know, Armond White is notorius for giving contrarian opinions on movies in the most pretentious fashion. I wondered what he thought about this movie.

The first I heard about this movie was on South Park last season. It sticks in my mind because I thought this movie was just a South Park joke and here it is for real.

I'm going to see the movie in 20 minutes. The kids are excited, and that's good enough for me. It's too late to take a nap though (in the movie theater)...so unfortunately, if it sucks, I will have to try not to nap or else I will be up all night long.

I could be wrong, but I'm predicting this number will fall from here, assuming this represents the fans who were most excited about this movie.

When I read "All Sandler’s best comedies (Grown Ups, Bedtime Stories, I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry and the great Spanglish) are really love stories," it made me wonder if he was employing irony. I'm still not entirely sure, but Armond White might be the greatest satirist of our time, because he's possibly trolling the entire world.

I like Sandler a lot. I think he's awesome - I think the fact that he continues to work with the same people for so many years is a testament to how great a person he probably is.

I think he's talented. "Billy Madison" and "Happy Gilmore" honestly cracked me up. I also thought he was incredible in "Punch Drunk Love". He CAN be incredibly funny.

I think he usually just doesn't try very hard. His movies are usually filled with jokes about wacky characters IN the movie - which is just incredibly easy to do. And that's fine - I have no problem with dumb comedies if they're funny - but then he slaps on overly-emotional endings, which I find really annoying.

Hey - it works. The guy rarely has a flop and there's plenty of other movies for me to see - so it's not a big deal. I just wish funny guys like Sandler tried harder.

Personally, the way he seems to conflate the message he takes away from a movie and his enjoyment of the movie makes me suspect that he really is this weird.

I don't know if he is goofing or not but if you see a well reviewed movie, it's a good bet thay Armond gave it a bad review and vice verca.

The only ones Sandler has done that I didn't care for was his remakes.

How do some of you like his movies! I think that he is the least funny comical person on this earth.

yet i still give them credit for Jack & Jill's marketing campaign, not the ads themselves but what channels and how they are doing it, very strategic

He can be pretty funny. Some of the lines from Bedtime stories had me off the sofa laughing.
