    Beware... It's OGOPOGO....

And here's the video proof. I tell you what... If all it takes is a ripple to create a monster, perhaps I can create my own by hopping into a nearby lake after I devour five White Castles... Now there's real danger in those ripples.

Yeah, lots of ripple sightings in Lake Okanagan...

Lake Okanagan is over 85 miles long and sections of it are over 750 feet deep. Just last Summer a friend's nephew hit his head while diving off a rented houseboat. He plunged into the water and sank like a rock. They never found his body.

I'm not a believer in a lot of cryptozoological speculations, but I've water skied on that lake, and while bobbing on the surface over the deeper parts of it waiting for the boat to loop back around, I must admit I was a little creeped out and it was a struggle maintain my skepticism.

I used to be so fascinated by the Ogopogo legend as a kid. Still am!

            And Mokele-mbembe, too.

I remember visiting Loch Ness once and standing for hours looking out across the water hoping to see Nessie... but alas, no luck.
