Satanists aren't Witches. The article is actually about mentally ill teenagers that couldn't tell the books they had were works of fiction. You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return... -
I'm truly not attempting a religious discussion here, but because I have a curious mind. . . .wouldn't a witch and a satanist have a lot in common? Doesn't the Old Testament have statements against witchcraft because of the sin involved? And doesn't one who worships Satan have similar heretical beliefs as the witch?
In other words, don't both the Witch and the Satanist believe in "the magic bullet?"Comment

Okay, I suppose that makes sense. But wherever the devil is hanging out, I assume he/she/it has other evil enemy type friends that the witches hang out with. . . .so, aren't the witches "friends of the devil" by association? They may not call him/her/it up for some favors, but isn't the devil basically the next-door neighbor?Comment

Ive always wondered the origins of witches in myth. Stories of them go way past the time of Shakesphere. (Pre 1600s)Comment

According to judeo-christian beliefs the worship of non-judeo-christian deities IS a sin. It's #1 of the Ten Commandments, after all.
I believe Wiccan (and paganism in general) is often interpreted to be associated with devil worship, in that sense.
I'm just saying they don't have to worship the devil to be CALLED devil worshipers by other people.Last edited by Brazoo; Nov 10, '11, 12:58 PM.Comment
