Just heard this news when I woke up. very sad. the man just retired too.

I wondered why he stopped 3 short of 2000 commentary's.

Odd, how some celebrities, go and you don't even blink, but others go and it's really sad. Like we've lost a tiny little piece of ourselves. I remember hearing his commentaries my whole like. RIP, Sir.

I read his books a lot when I was in high school. He could make the most mundane things humorous.

It's good that some people have that drive in them, but I'll never understand it. I'll retire when it's financially feasible; no way in hell will I work until death unless absolutely necessary.
