Creepy email...

Okay....not sure where to post this...I hope Palitoy and ScottA see it. I could use some advice.

Do any of you guys remember Mitch Ballard, AKA RCBats? I had a very public ordeal with him on these forums at the beginning of the year regarding some Ebay fraud which resulted in him being banned from the MM.

Well, he sent me a rather disturbing personal email today, saying he wanted to stay in touch, had been thinking about me A LOT, and would "see me soon".

Is this guy nuts?

Was this the same guy who started emailing Museum members, asking them to be go-betweens to resolve this issue?

Yep.

I have had zero contact with this guy since all this happened and made it clear I wanted nothing to do with him...so the "see you soon" bit is really weird. He lives in another state...Texas maybe? I can't even remember.

Well, I suppose the police are always an option. I had no idea that people went all Cape Fear over things like dolls, reminds me of the horse head in the bed! (The Godfather)
I cant speak for you and your family, but that would really jangle my nerves.

Is there any chance at all that he genuinely wants to make amends, or did it end on such a sour note that his intent has to be hateful or sinister?

The "see you soon" phrase was probably meant to be something similar to "talk to you later" or "take care"....don't know the person though.

I thought I made it perfectly clear to the guy that I wanted nothing more to do with him. That, and the "see you soon" comment are bizarre, since we are several states apart.

I dealt with mitch before and he was really cool with me...I know what happen between you guys sucked but i doubt he'd drive from another state just to do something stupid and get thrown in jail over being banned from the museum

but in any case, just write back and tell him how you feel again and to just let things be and leave you alone see what kind of response you get and go from there...If you feel safer contacting the police or something then that's up to you..but I doubt they'll do much since he technically didn't say anything wrong
