So Sunday before Halloween, my son and daughter get invited to a birthday party at the gymnastics center. She falls off a parallel bar during an organized activity and breaks her ankle. Off to the ER they go, Xrays, yeah it's broken, here's a splint and a wrap, get your cast tomorrow. We get her cast on, race back to school so she can watch her little brother in the costume parade she was also going to have walked in. We have a quick bite off to the Apt complex Halloween party where in her homemade Bride of Frankenstein costume, hot pink walking cast and toddler stroller we still had in the closet, she wins third place in the costume contest.
