I'd always do the Smithsonian as well.. I used to go to DC once a year for military training, wife and I'd always do the museums.

As for the mention of the Space Center, definitely count me in to, but the thread was about what to do at Disney. Space Mountain and the International areas are fun to see.

to be honest I prefer Universal Studios Island of Adventure. The Fire and Ice Coaster and Hulk Coaster are musts.

If I were to pick my favourites at Disney World it would be the Aerosmith Coaster and Twilight Zone tower. Everything else is more geared towards kids.

        Yes, it is crazy...lol.

I also hate you...wish I lived next to the Smithsonian...my sister travels to D.C a lot...and sometimes drops by there...she says that I should go there before I meet my maker...

I haven't been to Disneyland since 1978, I assume a lot has changed.

I'm still bitter that my sister talked the family out of going on the submarine ride, think I'll write her a nasty email....

Magic Kingdom - The "Mountains" Splash, Space, and Big Thunder, Mickey's Philharmagic, Pirates of the Caribbean
Epcot - Soarin', Test Track, Mission Space. Don't forget to go to the German Pavillion and have a bratwurst
Animal Kingdom - Expedition Everest, Kilimanjaro Safari. Don't ride Kali River Rapids unless you want to get soaked - I mean really, really, really wet.
Hollywood Studios - Rockin Rollercoaster, Tower of Terror, Star Tours, and the Indiana Jones show.

We're season passholders and just got back on the 17th. We were there for the Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party.

If you're into eating some different but excellent food, make a reservation to eat at Boma in the Animal Kingdom Lodge. You will be glad you did.

Pirates, Haunted Mansion, Space and Splash mountains, Safari at Animal Kingdom, the ride in Norway at EPCOT, Great Movie Ride, Toy Story (the line usually sucks), Star Wars and Indy at MGM. Eating is great at th eGerman buffet in EPCOT, the Sci Fi Dine In at MGM and the Crystal Palace at Disney.

depends on the age of your kids....personally the wife and I like Epcot and will just wander around the countries of the world all day, hitting the the Rose and Crown in England, watching the Brittish invasion(Beatles Cover Band) for every show, then moving on to France so wifey can get wine, short walk to Germany for Oktoberfest. with the kids in tow we usually hit whatever few rides are in Epcot but it is a fun place.....of course my kids are young so we tend to hit Epcot later in the day. Magic Kingdom is a lot of fun for the young kids and the young at heart. I really enjoy it there as it really captures the magic of youth. MGM or whatever they call it now is a lot of fin but being a smaller park tends to be jam packed with people. Animal Kingdom has gotten better in terms of things to do but there air is always much warmer and more humid because of all the plants. Th Everest coaster is great fun and the rapids ride too. No matter which park you hit there is plenty to do. just have a good time, enojy, relax as much as the crazy crowds will allow for.
we are thinking of going again next summer

I've never been to Disney World. My sister works for Disney. She's hooked me up with tickets to Disney land before. I would love to to go to Disney World. I hope you take alot of pics and have a super great time. Enjoy your self.

This may sound really silly, but one of my favorite things to do with a park hopper pass is to ride the boat between the parks. It's just really cool to see the park and the hotels from that vantage point.

I would recommend talking to some of the Disney workers in Epcot who work in the Countries of the World. Disney does hire individuals who are residents of the respective countries. If you catch them during a down time; they will usually tell you all about the country they're from and although they'll never publicly say anything negative about Disney...they will laugh if you kind of roll your eyes when you talk to them about their homeland (especially if you have visited and tell them this is nothing like the real thing). I do find most young foreign workers who come to the U.S. to really like it here.

I think the Norway ride at Epcot is some type of viking ship Troll encounter. We liked it and had dessert in the restaurant beside it.

If you're gonna eat at Magic kingdom, right across from the pirates ride you can get some cheeseburgers and fries for about $9, it's the best deal
*at mgm now called hollywood studios, the best is the sci-fi drive in it's like a 50's thing great burgers and shakes
*epcot, the best deal is the Chinese restaurant..it' s classy and only about $15 for the orange sesame chicken or the pepper steak platter
*animal kingdom i like the rain forest cafe, it's little pricey but kids love it
