I love 'em on chix. Super sexy-- The look especially hot on really tan skin. Not too dark, not too light, but just light coffee with cream and sugar or caramel perfect. My ex was all inked up. New chick has none, but I'm designing some for her as we speak! The only thing sexier on a chick than tatts are long nails, but that is another story and another thread.

Since she never had a tattoo before, be sure it's something she really wants and is not just doing it because that's what you want. You obviously won't want her regretting it later and possibly even resenting you for it. I think tattoos are cool if they have a solid concept design. I don't care much for it when people look like a bulletin board with two dozen random things slapped on together.
I know the one I want for myself, a big winged dragon design that coils around the whole arm from top of the shoulder down to almost the wrist, and that's the one I'm getting. I still haven't found the perfect artist, though. Or enough money....
