It's funny how most Americans see it totally OK for other world leaders to be killed and dragged through the streets. Yet their own leaders (or puppet masters) are just as corrupt. Heaven forbid anyone suggest they should get the same treatment.

Like Saddam Hussein, he could have retired early with his millions and still be among the living, but opted for another choice. Not to Monday morning quarterback, but stepping aside a few months back in a move to promote democracy and bringing in the UN to oversee the electoral process for his replacement could have landed him a legendary spot in his nation's history as a man of peace and promoter of freedom. Guess he wasn't interested in that.

A coworker and I were talking about it at work today, and two other coworkers actually asked who we were talking about. They literally had never heard of him, so we had to explain the whole Libya thing to them. Wow, I guess some people just never read or watch news or anything. But they can tell you all about the last episode of American Idol or Dancing with the Stars.
