Mil Mascaras being Inducted into the WWE HOF

AWWWWWWW YEAH!!!! The Legendary Mil Mascaras will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame later this year.

For Latinos and wrestling fans who grew up watching him Wrestle and star in films over the years this is Major news. one of the Three Legendary Luchadores from Mexico the other two are El Santo and Blue Demon.

I grew up watching his movies and seeing him wrestle on WWF and on spanish TV when they would broadcast Lucha Libre in the 70's

For many latinos He is an Icon and considered larger than life a very happy moment for me

Makes no sense! This is the WWE hall isn't it?! The hall is a joke with Drew Carey and Koko B Ware inducted without Bob Backlund, Sammartino and Savage to name a few not yet recognized.

A "real" hall of fame shouldn't be dependent on who is on good terms with Vince.

This announcement would make sense if PWI or another wrestling affiliation was doing it, but I don't EVER remember this dude making any difference in the WWE.

Mil Mascaras is Larger than life bro plain and simple, ask anyone and i mean anyone who grew up during that time and followed his career. He is an Icon in Latin countries and was a Superstar in Japan.

Sammartino is the one who refuses to have anything to do with the WWE. Real shame cause Bruno defo belongs. Savage was overlooked and a real shame most likely he'll go in this year.

Carey is in the celebrity section. Kind of like an announcer or ref induction in a real HOF.

Sometimes the floor seats are not the greatest seats. The tickets that we get are just above floor in front of video cameras. $120-$150 a ticket.

While I'm happy for Mil Mascaras...I could care less about the WWE Hall of Fame...lol.

Mil Mascaras is a true legend in Latin America and Japan...the WWE is a recent phenomena in those areas...they are big now...but the WWE has ZERO history in Latin America...so it means nothing to wrestling fans over there...it's all about Mil Mascaras, baby...

I remember my first live pro wrestling event at a local NJ High School, and being amazed at the clinic that Mil Mascaras put on compared to every other wrestler (including Bob Backlund, Pedro Morales, Don Muraco, Tony Atlas and others).

One of the most dramatic things would be when the WWWF would tease him losing his mask. Of course his opponents always tried to get his mask off in every match, but every once and a while someone would succeed, only to discover he had another mask on underneath.

The amazing thing about Mil, was his athleticism and size. He was large enough to compete with the Heavyweights but flew around the ring like a cruiserweight. When I saw him in the early 80's, he was already in his 40's and moved like a 20 year old, and he still occassionally wrestles. Insane. Nothing like seeing a man his size fly over the top rope and destroy Don Muraco (who was HUGE) a mere 10-20 feet away from you in a local High School gym. No mats on the outside, just hardwood basketball court.
