NFL: Lion's coach gets in 49er's coach face after loss

WOW! Did you guys see the after game drama between the coaches of the 49ers and Lions? Coach Harbaugh of the 49ers greets the Lions coach with an enthusiast "Yeah". No big deal. Well, the Lions coach decided he didn't like his enthusiasm... and proceeds to RUN AFTER HIM!!! The officials and players end up having to peel him back from the 49er's coach. UNBELIEVABLE! That coach for the Lions should be fined BIG TIME! Very unprofessional. Here's two links... The first one shows Shwartz chasing him down and actually bumping him! The second shows the after math from there. Schwartz is a freakin' idiot!

That's good stuff, but both coaches were wrong.

Harbaugh never could keep his enthusiasm in check as a player and he has proven he cannot as an NFL coach. He should conduct himself with a little professionalism. I'm not saying he should be a statue like Marvin Lewis, but save that back slapping and fist pumping for the locker room.

Schwartz should have let the situation go and deal with it later. His emotions got to him as well. He should never have elevated the situation on-field. It'll be interesting to see if Goodell responds to this or keeps his heavy-handed commissioning to players.

It was a great game marred by the supposed leaders of the teams.
I almost had a psychic girlfriend but she dumped me before we met.

If anyone here believes in psychokinesis, please raise my hand.

Agreed. Harbaugh should have tempered his celebration. But Schwartz actually chasing after him was just WAAAAAAAY out of left field. And it made him look really bad. Now HE will be the story for some time to come. The media will eat this up. And the question becomes, will this derail the team because of the attention he heaped upon himself? Everything he does now will be scrutinized. He is definitely under the microscope now... whether he likes it or not. I just added the link to the start of the thread.

all the scandals, money, and bad conduct have made me dislike professional sports completely. if i watch any sports at all its usually something like the little league word series, etc.

When the Raiders first left to LA in 81...I switched to the Niners.

From years 82-94...I followed only the Niners (I stick to the Bay Area)...Joe Montana was my hero...more so than any Raider QB....even my boy Jim Plunkett.

Once the Raiders came back...I started cheering for them again...but still kept the Niners as a fave as well...

Schwartz is not that innocent of a bystander himself...he had his payback...as he himself...did the very same thing to Vikings coach Leslie Frazier earlier in the season...by pumping his fists up in the air just before shaking hands...Frazier was not too thrilled about that either.

I think Harbaugh was aware of this...and compound that with the fact that he has a fiery personality as well...well...this was the end result.

                        Detroit ? Big whoop.

But seriously ..., Harbaugh Smacked him pretty hard in the back, and has appologised for It , I believe.

Schwartz would not stand a chance against Harbaugh in a fight...that much I know.

Schwartz knew his players would protect him...it was all false bravado and posturing...had it been in a dark alley outside a bar...Schwartz would've ran off like a little turnip...

I'd bet Harbaugh gets fined for Aggressive Physical Celebration .
