I think it's a great picture of Charlie Brown. But then, creepy is sometimes fun.

"Peanuts" is the one and only comic strip that I have followed with a passion since I was a kid and still do. The strange Vince Guaraldi arrangement is named "Linus and Lucy" and even though associated with the Charlie Brown theme song obviously was not meant to represent Charlie Brown. Charles Schulz is by far the best cartoonist in my opinion (I won't even give my argument). Charlie Brown only represented one aspect of Schulz's personality, but can also be seen in Linus, Snoopy, Woodstock, etc. For some strange reason, I do like the drawing but do not think this represents the "true" Charlie Brown. He is being depicted as a complete failure who has finally accepted his fate. Charlie Brown was a pessimist but always had an attitude that things would get better which coincides with one of Schulz's personality traits. To me, Charlie Brown is the tragic character who fails but never gives up. This picture and music seems to indicate that he finally gave up which is not consistent with his character."The farther we go, the more the ultimate explanation recedes from us, and all we have left is faith."
