    Anybody remember MYSTERY! (on PBS)

    Here's the intro

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rAmGsM4Dids

I always thought the intro was better than any of the shows

HA! I would watch the intro then totally change the channel. I didn't realize everyone else was doing the same!

I remember when Vincent Price was the host of Mystery, waaaay back when. Then, after his death, they got Diana Rigg to do it.

She's okay, but not as good as Vincent.

Gotta disagree Mike Mystery had some great shows - of course I thinkt he best were all brit imports but so is who
Riley Ace of Spies and Sherlock Holmes mysteries (with Jeremy Brett) jump right to mind as well as Some agatha Christie stuff and I think there was Rumploe with Leo Kern as part of Mystery too. An Mr Price's intros and closings were great
basically the whole show was a way to package smaller mini series from Europe for a single title to american tv watching

They still do Mystery as Masterpiece Mystery. Some good stuff still on there as well.

Heee heeee.... so did I, but that's a pretty neat intro.

I was kind of obsessed with the intro when I was a kid. I'd hear the music in my room and then run into the living room to watch it, and was always disappointed that the rest of the show wasn't like that. Years later I got really interested in Edward Gorey books, and I still remember the "Woa!" moment I had when I realized he was the one who did that bizarre little cartoon I was so fascinated by. The seed was planted, I guess.

The new 'Case Histories' series they started tonight looks really good. The first episode has me hooked. Good acting, deep characters & beautiful scenery.
