In New York we got the day off of school, and even had assemblies about it the week before. Here in CA non one even thinks about it really. Although I think the banks might be closed."Do you believe, you believe in magic?

I'm not sure about other places but back in the day around these parts it was also celebrated as a kind of Italian pride day.
