Color TV first patented by a Mexican

From the Museum of Broadcast Communications:

"In 1934 Guillermo Gonzalez Camarena built his own monochromatic camera; by 1939, Gonzalez Camarena had developed a Trichromatic system, and in 1940 he obtained the first patent for color television in the world."

Since I never heard of a "Gonzalez T.V" I'm guessing things didn't work out.

I'm just curious, did he invent it or was just the first to patent it. I'm also curious, did he make a killing off of it? I would hope that if you invent something everyone uses today he would be rich from it. Soo many times a big company will buy the patent and give the inventor squat. I just read the artile. Very interesting from a historical standpoint. I guess the Mexican government shafted him. I didn't know that in the 1930's the state owned the TV stations there. His family would be rolling in pecos today if he could have had sole ownership of it. And yes Hector, I love me some color TV.

I just thought it would be nice to post about a Mexican inventor as opposed to a beaner selling oranges under the freeway overpass.
