    Carving pumpkins

So will you be carving pumpkins this year. The news said because of the weather they might be in short supply this year.We tried our hand at growing some this year, and they came out pretty good. Not super huge but big enough cut up with some freaky faces.

I carved my first pumpkin a few years ago when I worked w/ the older kids for my class. I generally don't carve them here at home, b/c I'm not that good at it and I really hate scooping out pumpkin guts! I have a nice LED pumpkin I got a few years back from Walgreens that I put in the living room window.

I know, I've done that and used garlic salt. BBQ seasoning is good too. I just don't like the mess.

You could always put it in the window INSIDE the house. No one puts pumpkins outside here. Too many neighborhood cats wandering around who like to pee and scratch at them.

EWWW! I would hate to think that kids are peeing on and scratching at pumpkins!
