Megoscott, have you thought about getting a storage building in the backyard. Some of them are very sturdy and spacious. Just have to have the space of course (and they can be affordable if you shop around)

I'm the middle of remodeling mine. Will take a couple of months to finish it. I would get done faster, but I have my own fixation on Margarita-ville since Dallas can't put any team away.
