But here's the question... Is it a prenuptial agreement? Can it even be after so many years together? That has to be a unique situation there. Now becomes the real test. Do they retain the same relationship during marriage as they had before? Or does Gene suddenly start "feeling" confined to the concept and divorce her a year later? This will be interesting to watch. My thinking is it won't work.
I think they probably have an open relationship anyway. there have been videos floating around with him and other girls over the years and I am sure she knows about it....if she doesn't she has to be the dumbest woman in the world

You raise an interesting question MIB41.
California is a common law state, which generally means that after 6 years all things are equally owned. I don't know if it's possible to have a legal pre-nup type of agreement for non married couples in CA? I would assume that if there was no (legal) agreement for the three decades leading up to the wedding, there would be no point in having one post-wedding. If there was an agreement of some sort for all the years leading up to the wedding, it could go either way after the fact.
I wish them both the best, they seem like a perfect match to me and I don't necessarily mean that to be an all encompassing compliment.
I would think the pre-nup will hold up as a legal document. It is a binding legal contract which I don't think any common law marriage law would trump. Of course, if things go bad; she will certainly hire a bunch of lawyers to have it thrown out, he will settle out of court, etc. I'm just wondering how he will figure out how to license this wedding into Kiss merchandise.

Tweed addressed that issue last season on the show... saying that they did not have an open relationship, and the family believed him (that he was simply maintaining his rock star image in public). I think they deluded themselves until the sex video with the energy drink girl was posted on the web... which coincides with the time frame that Tweed says their troubles began.
As for any kind of pre-nup... at his age, other than his mother and the kids who are presumably taken care of, who else would he have to leave money to? His kids have expressed their disapproval over him treating their mother badly, and he's arrogant and selfish, but surely not heartless at the cost of alienating Sophie and Nick? I'd imagine Tweed would be taken care of no matter what and they have covered this ground amongst themselves to their own satisfaction.
I seem to recall in the past that Simmons and Tweed have had some kind of contract about their arrangement, but who would know what that is other than themselves and their legal reps. Whether that changed with the kids or not, I'm sure the courts take that kind of thing into consideration.
