I cancelled the DVD service as well when they annouinced they were splkitting it....it's just that even on streaming the selection is getting more and more limited.....as these other contracts that they lost get tot the point where they don't renew, the selection will be even smaller.Comment

I've never had the DVDs...just streaming...Think OUTSIDE the Box! For the BEST in Repro & Custom Packaging!Comment

There's rarely anything I want to see on the streaming., but I still have it with the 3 at a time DVD service. If I could get the 3 at a time without the streaming, I probably would.
Eventually, I'm sure the DVD/Blu-Ray service will go by the wayside, but I've had a subscription ever since I first heard about netflix and have enjoyed it quite a bit
Hate the embargo the studios have put on new films, but I understand why.Comment

I think what is happening is exactly what Netflix wanted. I really don't think they want to be in the DVD rental market for the long haul. They can focus their time and money on the streaming side of the business and now have the DVD part split out so it can be sold to Redbox, Blockbuster, or someone else who wants to buy it. In the meantime, they'll just hold onto it and use the cash generated by the DVD business to invest in the streaming business. High Def streaming isn't too far away and I think ultimately will be a brilliant move that Netflix made now when one looks at it a few years from now. One of those things that college business case studies will review."The farther we go, the more the ultimate explanation recedes from us, and all we have left is faith."

Hulu Plus is the one I wish I could get, it doesn't work properly thru my Samsung player. Lots of shows there I would watch. You must try to generate happiness within yourself. If you aren't happy in one place, chances are you won't be happy anyplace. -Ernie BanksComment

BUMP
I've been a Netflix user since 2004, currently on their streaming/2 DVDs at a time plan. This past week they sent me two extra discs, so I now have four out. The explanation they give for the extras is, We received notice that you returned a disc, so we have shipped the next available disc from your Queue.
Makes no sense to me. I send a disc back, they get it next day, send another one right out. That's how it's worked for yrs. I don't get the reasoning behind the bonus discs, and honestly, I don't even want them, since my wife and I barely have time to watch one movie/week.
Anyway, has this been happening to other users here too?Comment
